Centre goals include, 1) to be an active participant in the development of ICNP; 2) update and provide accessible Icelandic translation of ICNP; 3) implement ICNP in nursing practice in all health care institutions in Iceland and thereby into the electronic health record; 4) ICNP will continue to be reflected in nursing curricula and taught to nursing students; 5) promote and support nursing research to advance the development and enhancement of ICNP; and 6) to define needs for technical solutions and give advice on which technical support is needed at implementation and use of ICNP in electronic health records and which apply international standards.
