ICN works with various partners on campaigns which promote and share key messages on topics of particular interest to nursing. By providing factual, accurate and reliable information on a broad range of issues, ICN is an active and effective advocate on key issues. 

International Nurses Day

IND is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. ICN commemorates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses' Day (IND) resources and evidence.

Universal Health Coverage

The International Council of Nurses is calling on governments to take urgent action to protect, enlarge and re-energise the global nursing workforce so that Universal Health Coverage (UHC) can become a reality by the 2030 target date.

#NURSESFORPEACE

To show our solidarity with these nurses, ICN has launched a #NursesforPeace campaign to call for peace, condemn attacks on healthcare, and support nurses on the frontlines.

Fight the Fakes

Alongside our work with our colleagues in the World Health Professions Alliance, we have also joined forces with the Fight the Fakes Campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of fake medicines.

Health Care in Danger

ICN is closely involved in the Health Care in Danger (HCiD) project, which ultimately aims to make access to healthcare in situations of armed violence more secure.

Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition

ICN is a founding member of the Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition, whose purpose is to promote respect for international humanitarian and human rights laws that relate to the safety and security of health facilities, health workers, ambulances and patients.

Deliver for Good

ICN is an ally organisation of Women Deliver’s Deliver for Good campaign. This global campaign applies a gender lens to the SDGs and promotes 12 critical investments in girls and women to power progress for all.

Global Coalition on Circulatory Health

Global Coalition for Circulatory Health which brings together international, regional and national stakeholders in circulatory health to drive the urgent action needed to combat heart disease and stroke.

The DAISY Foundation

The DAISY Foundation is a public foundation serving the nursing profession through recognition programs as well as grants for nursing research and evidence-based practice.
