Canadian Nurses Association to co-host International Council of Nurses 2023 Congress in Montreal

Geneva, Switzerland; Ottawa, Canada; 21 December 2018 – The International Council of Nurses (ICN) today announced it will hold its Congress 2023 in Montreal, Canada in cooperation with the Canadian Nurses Association.

The Board of Directors of ICN has thoroughly reviewed the bids from four national nursing associations. Based on the presented documents and the site-visits made by ICN’s experts, the Board of Directors evaluated the bids against established criteria and made a unanimous decision in favour of Montreal.

The International Council of Nurses holds its international Congresses every two years. In 2019 the Congress will be held in Singapore, and in 2021 it will be held in Abu Dhabi. The Congresses are the meeting point for thousands of nurses across the globe and provide opportunities for nurses to build relationship and to disseminate nursing and health related knowledge.
