The Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy ICN-Accredited Centre for ICNP Research and Development is hosted by the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

The Centre's mission is to advance standardised nursing language as a tool for linking nursing interventions to patient outcomes and cost. Current work includes Project VISIBLE, a collaborative pilot with TruMerit and University Hospitals of Cleveland, which applies artificial intelligence to identify ICNP™ and NANDA-I terminology within existing electronic health record data. The Centre aims to generate scalable, multisite evidence to demonstrate the measurable value of nursing practice globally.
