Thank you for choosing to download the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP), a terminology, or dictionary of terms, that is intended for use by and for nurses.
ICNP is owned and copyrighted by the International Council of Nurses (ICN). ICN is interested in facilitating access to ICNP and promoting its use. In order to assure the quality of the terminology, any use of ICNP (commercial or not) requires permission from ICN.
Non-commercial, not-for-profit, local use
If the use of ICNP or any related or derived products (i.e. translations, mappings or catalogues) is strictly local, non-commercial and not-for-profit (such as within research or educational programmes), there is no fee, and you should fill out an online form.
Commercial, regional or national use
If ICNP is distributed for intended profit within a product (e.g. software or a publication), there is a licensing fee and you should contact Amy Amherdt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note on file formats.
ICNP is distributed as a set of comma separated values (.csv) and PDFs. Other formats of files such as the Web Ontology Language (OWL) are available only on request.
