Organizational Development of National Nursing Associations (ODENNA) LatAm - FAQ
Can individual nurses apply to the ODENNA LatAm project?
No. Applications are accepted only from National Nursing Associations.
Can other organizations apply?
No. Only National Nursing Associations that are ICN members are eligible.
Do all team members need to submit an application?
No. One application per association is required. Team members submit individual commitment statements within that application.
Is executive approval required?
Yes. A formal executive-level endorsement letter is required.
Can we save and return to the application?
Yes. The digital application can be saved and completed over time using the personalized link provided.
What happens if our association is not selected?
ICN is not able to accept all applicants at this time. Associations are encouraged to stay engaged as future opportunities may become available.
Are there other ways to get involved if we are not eligible to apply?
Yes. Organizations may explore mentorship or regional sponsorship opportunities to support ODENNA LatAm.

ICN and BD Foundation Empower Nursing Leadership Across Latin America
The International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the BD Foundation, the philanthropic arm of global medical technology company BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), today announced they are expanding the reach of ICN’s Organizational Development of National Nursing Associations (ODENNA) programme to Latin America in 2026. Through this deepened collaboration, ICN and the BD Foundation aim to strengthen nursing leadership and organizational development in new regions.

ICN’s Organizational Development of National Nurses Associations (ODENNA) programme has awarded its first funding prizes to four participating National Nurses Associations, following intense training and a rigorous competition during May and June 2024.
