The internationally renowned South Korean idol band, SHINee has sent a message of support and thanks to the International Council of Nurses (ICN) which will be played for the nurses of the world gathered at the ICN Congress on 2-4 November 2021. In addition, SHINee member Key (Kim Ki Bum) will give an exclusive live performance of his new song "Bad Love" to thank the nurses for their services.

Key, whose mother is a nurse, welcomed the opportunity to show the band’s appreciation of the nursing profession, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us how much we rely on nurses to keep us healthy and heal us when we are sick – throughout our lives. The ICN Congress is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate nurses’ achievements and mourn those who we have lost on the way. SHINee is honoured to be part of this important event.”

For the past 120 years, the ICN Congress has served as the global platform to gather and empower the global nurse community. From 2-4 November 2021, the virtual Congress will bring together the nurses of the world around the theme “Nursing Around the World”. Highlighting critical issue for nursing today, the Congress will feature expert speakers from across the globe including Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization, Mr Ban Ki-moon, former United Nations General Secretary, Michelle Bachelet, High Commissioner for Human Rights and former President of Chile, Guy Ryder, Director General of the International Labour Organization, and the Right Honorable Helen Clarke, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, amongst others.
