The Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI)™ marks its 10th anniversary

GNLI
16 September 2019

The Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI) 2019 Programme began its residential workshop on the 14 September for the 10th consecutive year, continuing to develop policy leadership expertise of senior nurses from around the world.

Facilitators Prof Jane Salvage, Prof Diana Mason and Dr Semakaleng Phafoli, guest speaker, together with ICN CEO Howard Catton welcomed 28 carefully selected participants from 26 countries at Chateau de Bossey near Geneva.

The GNLI programme aims to build scholars' capacity to deliver better health outcomes and quality of care while safeguarding staff safety, well-being and socioeconomic interests, and enhance effectiveness in bringing about policy changes that lead to better health for communities and nations. The programme will prepare these senior nurses to lead policy in their own countries and regions, so as to support the Nursing Now campaign and the Year of the Nurse and Midwife 2020, as well as the WHO objective to achieve universal health coverage around the world.
