Peer mentorship that turns shared experience into stronger organizations and lasting regional impact
Strong National Nursing Associations (NNAs) give nurses a unified voice, shape health policy and improve care. Through ODENNA, ICN helps them strengthen the leadership, governance and systems needed for lasting impact.
NAMI, ODENNA’s mentorship initiative, connects associations across countries and stages of development to share experience, solve practical challenges and adapt proven approaches to local needs.
Mentors are leaders from established NNAs who bring tested tools, candid discussion and practical guidance to help participants move from ambition to action.
In Latin America, four mentor associations are now supporting eight ODENNA participants—strengthening individual organizations while building a connected regional community.
Four mentors—each representing an experienced association—support eight ODENNA LatAm participants. Guided by the SOLID framework, each mentor leads group sessions in the area where they can offer the greatest practical value.
Four mentors—each representing an experienced association—support eight ODENNA LatAm participants.
Following the SOLID framework, each mentor conducts group sessions in the specific areas where they can provide the most practical support. These sessions are hands-on, targeted, and tailored to the participants’ priorities. Mentors share real-world examples and useful tools, while participants contribute their challenges, ideas, and experience. Together, mentors examine the five SOLID domains that underpin a resilient and effective association.
Each session is a step towards stronger organizations—and a wider regional community where nursing leaders continue to learn from and support one another.
