The Russian Nurses Association (RNA) founded in 1992 grew to be a national organization with regional branches in more than 45 regions of Russia. RNA is a general association that unites all healthcare workers with vocational health and higher nursing education, e.g., along the nurses RNA represent the interests of midwives, feldshers, laboratory technicians and other healthcare professionals.
RNA is a voluntary association aimed at improved quality and safety of care.
On the national level RNA campaigns for the visibility of nursing profession, improved workforce policies including recruitment and retention practices, invest into policy dialog on strengthening and advancing the profession.
