Colegio de Profesionales de Enfermería de Guatemala (CPEG)

El Colegio de Profesionales de Enfermería de Guatemala is a professional institution created through the collective effort of licensed nurses to establish their own space for representation and professional advocacy. After years of work beginning in 2005, and supported by the Nursing Law (Decree 07‑2007), the process culminated on March 6, 2014, with a historic assembly in which more than 500 professionals confirmed their commitment to founding it. Since then, the College has been constituted as a civil, autonomous, and non‑profit entity with legal standing and its own assets, dedicated to safeguarding the ethics, quality, and legitimacy of nursing practice in Guatemala.

Its mission is to strengthen the profession through scientific and technical advancement, professional defense against illegal practice, the promotion of solidarity among colleagues, and support for public administration in health-related matters. Based in Guatemala City, El Colegio de Profesionales de Enfermería de Guatemala represents the consolidation of the professional identity of nursing and has become an institutional reference that upholds the dignity and development of those who practice this discipline in the country.
