The International Council of Nurses (ICN), whose membership is made up of more than 140 National Nurses Associations (NNAs) representing millions of nurses worldwide, continues to grow in response to the challenges facing health systems across the globe. ICN is pleased to welcome two new organizations to its network of Specialist Affiliates: the International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) and the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses (ISPN).

ICN’s Specialist Affiliate programme brings together international nursing organizations representing key areas of practice, education, research, and policy. The continued expansion of this network reflects the strong commitment of nursing organizations around the world to collaborate, strengthen the profession, and support improved health systems and patient care globally.

The International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) is a nonprofit member organization dedicated to advancing professional nursing care delivered in the home. Through its programs, events, and professional community, IHCNO supports clinical nurses, educators, and leaders worldwide who provide essential home-based care to individuals and families.

The International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses (ISPN) is a global professional organization focused on advancing leadership in practice, research, education, and policy for advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nurses. Through education, networking, advocacy, and scholarship, ISPN promotes excellence in mental health care and supports nurses working to improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
