Austrian Nursing Association

The Austrian Health and Nursing Association (ÖGKV) is the largest, national, professional political representation of the professional nursing professions in Austria. Representation of all nursing fields and nursing professions. 

Tasks and goals of the ÖGKV are:  Representation of the interests of nursing in society and politics, participation in legislation, quality assurance of nursing services, further development of nursing in theory and practice, promotion of nursing research, enforcement of modern working conditions for nurses, safeguarding the independence of nursing professions, appropriate remuneration for nurses. 

2023 the ÖGKV is particularly committed to ensuring that mobile care can also settle its services with the social insurance institutions. The initial and further prescription of remedies and aids is also at the top of the ÖGKV's to-do list this year.
