The International Nurses Day 2026 webinar series is both a global moment to celebrate nursing and a platform to showcase this year’s theme — Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives — in a practical and forward-looking way. These webinars launch our IND report, which presents clear evidence that the power of nursing is real, measurable, and transformative. The report identifies several key nursing powers, all of which deliver significant improvements in health outcomes, access and safety of care, and health system resilience. It also sets out a practical agenda for empowerment, based on the safe and supportive working environments, recognition, and strengthened leadership and influence needed to enable nurses to use their powers to the fullest and maximize their impact on health systems and societies.
