Mrs. ‘Makeabetsoe MOSITO RNM is the Deputy President of LNA. She is a parent, a registered nurse-midwife and educator who has been practicing in the past 12 years. During this time she served at Bela Bela Health Center and ‘Mamohau Hospitals under Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL). She later worked under the Government of Lesotho, first at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and later at Mafeteng Hospital before moving to St Josephs Hospital (CHAL) in the Roma area of Maseru where she is still active.
Her academic qualifications include General and Midwifery diplomas obtained in 1991 before a Bachelors Degree at the University of Free State in 1999-2001. Since completing her university education, she has been an active member of Lesotho Nurses Association (LNA) and participates in several forums of higher education, nursing and regulatory forums with the Lesotho Nursing Council.
She represents LNA and organs of CHAL in its partnership with the Ministry of Health and other local health agencies.
In 2012 she was elected to the Executive Committee of LNA as Deputy President for three years. She has a keen interest in nursing education, midwifery, obstetrics and paediatrics. She has a passion for providing services for improved care of clients with Tuberculosis for which she holds the portfolio of TB liaison in the LNA Executive.
