Team Projects

Team Projects

Participant team projects are an important part of learning and development, and should make a contribution to the health services. Team members need to be easily accessible to each other to facilitate planning, communication, and face-to-face meetings. They could, for example, come from the same town, hospital area or organisation.

Teams select the focus for their project in consultation with local stakeholders. It is essential that they gain the support of key stakeholders right from the beginning. Projects involve developing a project plan in consultation with others, seeking funding and support, implementing the project (again involving others), monitoring progress, providing feedback and seeking advice from others, and evaluation of the results. Progress is reviewed at each workshop through presentations and peer review. Some programmes may fund small seeding grants to help projects get started. Guidelines on all aspects of team projects are provided.
