Mentoring

Mentoring

Mentoring is an essential part of the LFC Programme™. Mentors, usually selected by participants, coach and guide participants, challenge their thinking, assist them with Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and advise as appropriate on team projects. Mentors need not be nurses – it is more important for them to be effective leaders and managers with the skills to help participants develop as leaders and managers. All participants are expected to become a mentor to others by the end of the programme. Guidelines on mentoring an LFC participant are provided.
