Best Practice

Best Practice

Recognising the different understandings between the notions of good and best practice, this database uses the term ‘best practice’ on the basis that it is more universally understood. The term ‘best practice’ used here reflects an exemplary standard of performance for the type and location of an operation or function within one of the key dimensions of regulation.

Examples of best practice are presented in the key dimension areas of regulatory governance, discipline and education or in any other dimension of regulation.

If you have any questions or information you wish to contribute to any of the databases, please contact us.

NB
The readers should note that:
• The information posted on this ICN web site in relation to this database, was accurate at the time of collection
• Information on the contact information sheets and legislation may have been changed since it was accepted
• In some jurisdictions there may well be other additional relevant legislation and/or guidance which informs practice
• Further information should be obtained directly from the regulatory body.
