26 January: Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration

On 26 January, an event will be held in Geneva, Switzerland to celebrate the first anniversary of the Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration between patients’ organisations, healthcare professionals and the pharmaceutical industry.  The Consensus Framework was established by five global healthcare organisations in order to support partnerships that will aim to delivers great patient benefits and support high quality patient care.  The five founding organisations are the International Alliance of Patients Organizations (IAPO), the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Association (IFPMA) the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and the World Medical Association (WMA).  This year, two new partners have endorsed the Framework: the International Hospital Federation /IHF) and the International Generic Pharmaceutical Alliance (IGPA).  For more information on the anniversary event, please contact the IFPMA secretariat at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
