Greetings fellow nursing students! I live in Pearland, Texas USA. Pearland is just outside the borders of Houston!  My passion and purpose are directly aimed to reduce health disparities on an international canvas especially the underserved and vulnerable populations. I lead and participate in international medical missions and create opportunities and awareness about the global concerns. I am both excited and motivated to seek and share the nursing student perspective regarding topics such as education, diversity and the future of nursing. I have had the pleasure and the benefit of being elected to serve on the Board of Directors of NSNA for two consecutive years culminating as the President 2010/2011, and want to share the experiences, information and leadership skills gathered with the global nursing student community and the nursing community at large. My heartfelt task as a part of this committee is to reach and empower nursing students and beyond the traditional classroom about the future of nursing using available information, tools, partnerships, conversations and interventions that impact the nursing community and the people we will care for. Additionally, creating an international platform for best practice and information sharing among nursing students is the premiere purpose of my participation in the Core Group. Increasing cultural awareness, participation in professional organizations after program completion and fostering lifelong learning & leadership continuity coupled with personal growth is key to all of us entering the ultimate career of a lifetime – Nursing!. Vice Chair: Samuel Amo-Kyereh

Hi, I am Samuel Amo-Kyereh from Ghana, West Africa. I'm pursing a BSc. Nursing program at the Garden City University College, Kumasi. I'm interested in assisting students channel their talents and knowledge into useful commodities to transform the society. Creating the awareness of student nurses on their role in global issues and their dedication to the provision of effective nursing care to clients is one of my emphases. It was through this interest and enthusiasm that I, together with two others founded the Nursing Students' Association in my school. I am currently the elected President of the Garden City University Nursing Students' Association which is committed to developing the next generation of dedicated nurses. My experiences from being the Senior Prefect of my Senior High School and my current position will amplify my contributions to the Student Nurse Network. I also work for "the Hope for the Future Network"-HFN (a Christian Non Governmental Agency in Ghana which is dedicated to unearthing the potentials of every child and youth in changing our world) as the General Secretary.I have a passion; to save lives! Hope you have that passion too. I believe the Student Nurse Network will bring us together and create a platform for sharing ideas that will help promote nursing care in our various regions. Pax et Bunnom!!! I am David G. Doncillo from Northern Samar, Philippines. I am finishing the course of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Eastern Philippines. Chosen as the President of the College of Nursing Junior and Senior Class Organization and one of the board of director of the University Junior and Senior Classes Organization; also being selected as one of the finalist of the Country's Model Student. I am a volunteer counselor of the Northern Samar Provincial Jail, and when time arise I help to organize a medical mission to answer their health needs. As of now our field recognizes the importance of Spirituality in the recovery of a person as well as in the Holistic Care that we render to our patient. . This will be my preparatory course for my entrance to the Seminary to take the Theology and seeing in the near future to be a nurse-priest caring praying that all of us may establish a unity to serve the student nurses globally. To realize our vision of tender, loving, care to our dear patient.

Hello, my name is Ms Leticia Cruz and I am pursuing a Masters in Nursing in Puerto Rico. Let me just say how exited I am to form part of this wonderful group. My vision is to assist in the attainment of health and well-being of individuals, supporting international diplomacy through advocacy leadership and communications efforts in nursing. As a team we have much work ahead of us and as nurses as well. I would like to say that I am ready for the work that lays ahead.

Marie Nagel Christensen

My name is Marie, I'm 25 years old and studying to be a nurse in Denmark, Copenhagen. I am the president of the Danish Nursing Student Association, where we have about 7,500 members. I am also a member of the board of the European Nursing Student Association (ENSA). I think the international work is exciting because it helps nursing education to be better in the world.
