Sharon’s main area of work is managing the implementation of the CDC & TB Control Programme Plans to realise set goals and objectives. She also develops, implements and monitors systems for programme improvement.
Sharon acts as link between the National department of Health, Province department of Health and the District.
She analyses the statistics received, gives feedback to the stakeholders, ensures TB & HIV&AIDS integration-collaboration and identifies training needs in terms of CDC and TB. Finally she facilitates, co ordinates and manages TB training for Health Care Workers ‘s in the District (this includes Doctors, nurses and the community).
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Medical Science Honours, Infection, Prevention and Control -University of KwaZulu Natal and a Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, treatment and care – University of KwaZulu Natal.
She is currently doing a MPH at the University of Pretoria through sponsorship from the South African Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme. (SAFELTP).
