    Nursing is regulated under the Nurses Act 1950. Malaysia has Laws and Code of Professional Conduct that states what a nurse or midwife should practice. Graduates of nursing programmes, assistant nurses and rural nurses must take the respective registration examination set by the Nursing Board, Malaysia to qualify for registration and practices. A register is kept by the Board and registration is valid for life unless revoked by cause.
