The Global HealthWorkforce Alliance released its Agenda for Global Action during the First Global Forum on Human Resources for Health (HRH) held 2-7 March 2008 in Kampala, Uganda. The purpose of the Agenda is to "guide the initial steps in a coordinated global, regional and national response to the worldwide shortage and maldistribution of health workers, moving towards universal access to quality health care and improved health outcomes."
