[Excerpt from publisher] The purpose of this best practice implementation guide, produced by the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE) National Workforce Programme (NWP), is to set out how health and social care organisations could take a strategic approach to the implementation of New Ways of Working (NWW). New Ways of Working (NWW) is about a new way of thinking which includes the development of new, enhanced and changed roles for mental health staff, and the redesigning of systems and processes to support staff to deliver effective, personcentred care in a way that is personally, financially and organisationally sustainable.
