The object of this study is to identify similarities in the interpretation of the terms and concepts translated for Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese of the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®); Perform semantic equivalence between the terms and concepts not similar, identified in translations Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese of the ICNP. Semantic equivalence can be used in the ontology of ICNP and information systems in which it is included, restricting problems related to semantic inconsistency of translations into the same language.
