  • Abstract

    Research into the use of coding such as ICNP and SNOMED for a 'computable' patient record or a health record in which the healthcare professional and the computer operate as partners in the care of the patient.

    The ICNP will be used to provide 'machine intelligeable' coding of nursing activities in a similar fashion to SNOMED for physicians.
