  • Abstract
Apelon is involved in a collaborative project with selected Nursing Informatics graduate schools to develop a set of advanced terminology tools. It is expected that these schools would use the tools, along with associated terminology content, in their teaching and educational processes. In a separate project with the US Department of Health and Human Services, various terminologies, including nursing terminologies (NIC, NOC, NANDA, OMAHA), are being evaluated for content coverage relative to the proposed Minimum Data Set 2.0 (MDS 2.0). We will be evaluating the applicability of ICNP® for inclusion in both these projects. Apelon will not be revising or changing the core ICNP® content.
