The Mission of the Division of Medical Quality Assurance is to promote, protect and improve the health of all people in Florida. The legal framework for the Florida Board of Nursing is the Nurse Practice Act –Chapter 464, that states “that the sole legislative purpose… is to ensure that every nurse practicing in this state meets minimum requirements for safe practice.
