About the National Association (Vision, Mission, Goals, Values)

Vision

To achieve excellence in the practice of nursing in four areas: practice, teaching, management and research.

Mission: To play a pioneering role in the protection and development of nursing in Lebanon, in order to promote the health of the individual and of society.

Goals:

  1. To support nurses and ensure their rights.
  2. To promote and develop the nursing profession in terms of practice and training.
  3. To build the human, infrastructural and financial resources of the College.
  4. To promote the image of the College, locally and internationally.

 

Adherent’s Structure

The College of Nursing in Lebanon is run by a Board of Directors, including a President and 11 members, all of who are elected every three years.

The Disciplinary Board is composed of four members, elected every 2 years.

The Committee on Retirement and Mutual Aid is made up of six members, elected every 2 years.

Committees and subcommittees with specific mandates may be formed in the context of the Order’s activities.

Brief History

Since 1949, Lebanese nurses have grouped together in order to promote the nursing profession in the country.

In 1968, the preparatory committee for the College of Nursing of Lebanon was created.

In 1969 the Association of Lebanese nurses joined the CII.

On December 12, 2002, law 479/2002 recognized the creation of the College of Nursing in Lebanon, which took up the baton of CII associate.

Since 2002, the College has been an active member of the SIDIIEF.
